About me
Hi there, I’m Arianne — thanks for visiting my site! Here are some tidbits about me:
I am a writer of passions…parenting, faith, grief & loss, autism, health and wellness, weight loss, blogging, green living, shopping, social media, organic eating, natural health, photography, life in the South, being a California ex-pat, escaping the AZ desert, life with all boys… just to name a few.
If you’d like to read my writings on faith, please see the “Inspiration” category. If you’d like to read my writings on loss, please see the “Mabel” category.
I am a former Paralegal turned freelance writer and blogger now living in Charleston, SC. After just leaving Chicago-land in October ‘09, finding my inner steel magnolia has been quite the interesting and happy adventure. I love to challenge people to think and to educate themselves, all the while throwing in a little inspiration as often as possible.
An advocate for natural health and wellness, I continually strive for a soul/body/tech balance. I’m a mom of all boys, and my sons are all on the autism spectrum. They are the lights of my world, and their view on life challenges and inspires me every day. Seeking the balance in myself, also helps me find balance for my kids. In January I lost my daughter who passed away in my womb at 18 weeks. She was born, I held her, we named her Mabel Love and she has changed our entire family profoundly. I share about all our ups and downs and hope that women might find a place to call home when they visit my website.
All of these things, and much much more, define me and my writing and my world. I’d love to get to know you and your world as well!
I am working with Lifetime Entertainment as the Fit & Healthy channel leader at the new LifetimeMoms.com and my blog was awarded Parent’s Pick by Nickelodeon ParentsConnect.com as Best Chicago Parenting Blog in 2009.
I’ve written for sites like Real Simple, Alpha Mom, Chicago Moms Blog, 5 Minutes for Mom, Rocks In My Dryer, Savvy Auntie, and NWI Parent Magazine among others!
