I am getting my hair cut today. The first time in about a year.
I have anxiety about this for some reason. Not because I don’t love getting my hair did.
Maybe because I haven’t had it cut since before I was pregnant?
It’s one of those “firsts”. The kind that bring anxiety.
If I like it, I’ll share a pic here later. Maybe.
In the meantime, how about some encouragement? I’m reading my own post today, as if I didn’t even write it. I needed to hear it. Maybe you do too?
You who are feeling the effects of the slowness of this life. Who long for heaven as if you’ve been there before. As if you remember what it was like. As if you had a taste of it only to be put back in the tedium of this world.

Go for it! I know it will feel so good to have a new look- such a simple way to make a change that doesn’t really affect much, but can lift your mood. :) I am hoping to finally get a cut soonish!

I cut bangs this spring, and I’ve had a love/hate relationship with them. Hair styles & changes scare me. Because I always want something different than what I have.
I love your bangs. So pretty.
And now I’m going to open that box, and make this crazy natural brown/red color a little more even and pretty looking… :)

Oh my gosh, we are on the same wave length or something, because I just called my girl about getting a cut w/ bangs (Because I want a change, but I’m growing my hair out). They look GORGEOUS.

You look adorable. Very nice cut. The lady but four inches….four INCHES…too much off of my hair a couple of weeks ago. So now everywhere I go friends say, “Wow you cut all of your hair off!”. I will forget how short it is until someone says that. I know it will grow back, but seriously, why do the beauticians think they know better than me?! I always feel like I can’t adequately communicate the look I want, combined with my fear that the look I want won’t even look good on me. Having had a hair cut since March 25th…a little less than 3 weeks before I delivered Abigail into His arms. It was when i shared with my stylist I was expecting. I haven’t been able to go back. I have been avoiding it…even had an appt in July and cancelled 1.5 hours before because it was causing too much anxiety.
Hubby just told me this weekend that he likes my hair long and straight…I am off the hook right? I need to go back, I know.

I went the bangs route 2 years ago and loved it! I had really long hair and wasn’t ready to cut it all but the bangs were enough of a style change to keep me happy. I kept it up for several months before growing them back out. (Which is the beauty of bangs- they’re easy to grow out and camouflage.) So go for it! I’m sure it’ll look great.

And yes, the dramatic shots tend to be more dramatic when in focus. But then again, I shouldn’t speak. I try to do dramatic shots just to make it look like I have cheekbones still, and they always make me fall over laugh when I download.
