I got inspired by my friend Allison to do a “what’s in your purse” post. Why does this fascinate me SO MUCH? I know not. But it does.
First, the bag:

So beginning at the top…
1. hypotrochoid art set that my son was playing with
2. small “birdy purse” as I call it, that tiny things go into, from Anthropologie, of course (from a few yrs ago, sorry!)
3. cards from etsy with my favorite – a hedgeie – on them, because I plan to write more handwritten letters
4. my “make love not war” water bottle
5. the book “Stillmeadow and Sugarbridge” written in the 50’s {I plan to share it’s amazingness with y’all next week)
6. plane tickets from San Diego this past weekend
7. mascara, lip gloss, moisture stick, deodorant, rescue remedy, vitamins
8. earbuds
9. zipper pouch from the pleated poppy
10. silly bandz for which to give as incentives for being good, doing chores, etc
11. seashells from Palm Beach
12. Mabel’s bracelet
13. my favorite ring right now, I wear it even if I’m laying around in yoga pants because it makes me happy {from a local boutique}
14. stevia to sweeten my tea with when I’m out and about
15. sunglasses
16. my ideabook. (moleskin)
17. iphone
18. my “wallet” (a Coach wristlet) until I find one I love
19. keys
20. a book I just discovered in our boxes of ancient books. copywright is unknown, but all these books we picked up were published around 1900. this book is called “Scott’s Poems” and it’s a collection of poetical works by Sir Walter Scott. I just started reading and it makes me feel like channeling Princess Buttercup.
21. on the floor, a bandaid wrapper. fell out of mah purse.

Funny, I have a Coach wristlet too. Mine is white leather that I got for my diaper bag to use as a wallet.
The Anthropology bag Carrington gave to us as bridesmaids gifts. It had a matching coin purse and makeup in them from anthropology as well. I still remember when she gave them to us. :) Good times!

I love this, too. It’s like you’re sharing a secret. The old adage says no one should EVER look through another woman’s person. So here we are, breaking the rules.
And if you want to see what’s in mine? Here you go.M/a> It’s pretty much the same now as it was in 2007 — only more crumbs. And I carry diapers and wipes in my purse now, because I got tired of having to juggle a purse and a diaper bag and a toddler and a baby.

I love these posts. This what’s in your purse thing fascinates me too. I think it’s just because it peels back layers, reveals little things about someone that you wouldn’t have known any other way. We’re voyeurs :)

I carry a huge bag, too. It’s actually become a huge (pun intended) joke among my friends (online and off). “Look, there’s Heather. Digging to the bottom of her bag again because she can never find anything. She’s about to get swallowed.” – stuff like that :)

Sadly, it’s grown! I got an opera wallet, which is enourmous, and I hate carrying a diaper bag, so now i shove diapers and wipes into my purse whenever we go out. You should see the giant purse I’m bringing to BlogHer. It fits all my usual junk PLUS my camera and laptop! I”m going to have to have shoulder surgery after this is over…

My purse is my camera bag. So, my 50D, my 50mm 1.8, my 17 -70 mm, my wallet, some silly bandz, gum, 3 pens, lens cleaning equipment, countless change, business cards, business card holder, sunglasses (size 6 yo princess and 3 yo boy-child), my iphone clip (sometimes with the iphone in it) spare keys.
I WANT a notebook to carry around to write in.

I actually don’t carry a purse. I usually wear a backpack. So much easier for me w/ two small ones always in tow. :)

Half the time I am too scared to put my hand deep into my purse for fear of a soggy cracker!!
My iPhone & rescue remedy are in the outter pocket cause they are the “get it now!!” items for me!!

Fun! I don’t know that my purse has anything exciting in it right now – wallet, small bag with makeup and eyedrops, receipts, comb, cell phone, lots of little girl ponytail holders, a pair of earrings, gum, mints, crayons, WW points tracker, kleenex, business card holder (and business cards), and OH! Here’s the exciting part: a present for my friend Sara, who I’m going to visit this weekend!
