Little Bun

by Arianne on December 2, 2009

Exploring our "backyard"

You may have noticed me being MIA lately.  I had hoped it could be chalked up to moving and gift guiding, but some of you are getting wise to it and sending out SOS emails and asking if I’m ok (which I love).  I’m definitely more than ok.  I have another reason I’ve been gone from the internets and this blog and Twitter lately…

We have another little bun on the way!

I couldn’t be more excited, truly, it’s always such a miracle to conceive a child.  This one seems to be his or her OWN person, because I’m the sickest I’ve ever been with any pregnancy ever.  Seriously.  EVER.

I’m 11 weeks already, I wanted to wait a bit to announce just because, well I don’t really know why.  I thought about my loss 5 months ago, it made me scared to tell anyone. But it also had nothing to do with it.  It was just nice having this secret that I told a few people, and otherwise kept to just my household.

But I’m happy to share this with you now, so you’ll know why I disappear now and then (it’s not because I don’t love you, it’s because I’m loving the porcelain more right now).  Thanksgiving was mostly me feeling sick and not being able to go out with the family when they wanted to hit the beach.  But I’ll always remember it as the first Thanksgiving with 4 children, even if one was still just in the womb.

The only thing sounding good is grilled cheese or Italian ice or just ICE.  Also my mom’s salad which is just basically iceberg lettuce, celery, cucumber and vinegar and oil.  Oh and I must dip my grilled cheese in mustard.  But once I use the mustard, get it away from me because it grosses me out just sitting there like it does.

I can’t wait to chronicle this pregnancy here, even though I’ve been blogging since 2004, I started a week before boy #2 was born, and took a break from blogging during my 3rd pregnancy.  This will be a first for me, and I’m so excited!

Can’t wait to add a 4th to that little train that goes exploring each day…either a 4th boy to get in step right along with his brothers, or a 1st girl who will rule them all.  Wow.  Four kids!

YIPPEE! Congratulations! We had three boys and then our first girl. Amazingly, we now have four of each.

I started my blog when my eighth was nearly a year old. I think it would have been so neat to blog a pregnancy and birth/newborn days.

Congrats! We had our 4th baby in May – it is quite the change, but a lot of fun!
I craved ice with my 4th too – all the time. My doctor said it could be an Iron deficiency (related to PICA)
Anyway, best of luck and congratulations to you!

Congratulations. I get the morning sickness thing. I had it all day long but the biggest culprit was processed meats. I would back up to the deli and tell the person standing in line what I wanted. They would pass the message along and then someone would put it in my basket. The deli girls got wise though and started preparing things in advance after a few weeks.

Ew, grill cheese and mustard…how…PREGNANT, LOL!

I remember my days of pregnancy. I remember, after my 5th wishing, “When will this season be over w/Lord.” But now…five years since last baby, I miss those moments from time-to-time. I remember women telling me how they remember their years of morning sickness, early morning nursing, or shall I say continuence nursing…I thought I couldn’t wait for those times to end, but now I see what was meant in, “Enjoy it all while you can,” time passes so very fast.

My oldest just celebrated his 16 birthday, and I cannot believe it! It brings me to tears just typing about it.

Anyway congrats to your family and you:)
