Some (many) days I miss having a little baby to wear all day. But there are still days when I can put my two year old into the sling just to calm and comfort.

I can’t put him into the mei tai anymore, he doesn’t want to be carried long enough for those. His feet itch to feel the grass and his legs can’t help but hear the call of the wind, reminding him that soon it will be too cold to run outside.

Before I know it he’ll be too big to fit in the sling anymore. And after that too big for my arms. But that smile, the smile that tells autism to take a hike, it will always remind me of these moments of closeness.

I can’t get enough of his happy happy soul…

Awe that is so sweet. I wish I could wear my toddler, but from the time he was born he has done all he could to escape.
(Just discovered your blog and can't wait to get to know the Momma behind it)

Thanks for stopping by — so nice to “meet” you!
My oldest
couldn't be worn as old as this one (in the pics), he, too, was a
wiggly worm. It's a luxury for me to wear my 2 year old now! Love it
so much.

Beautiful post. I'm going to be sad when the day comes that my son no longer wants to be carried in the sling or mei tai

I love that sling. It's so pretty!
Sometimes I think those moments wearing our toddlers are the sweetest. There's a perfection in them, because they're fleeting and we know they're fleeting. So I just enjoy them while they last, soaking up the moment.
