Sane Fitness, Sane Mama

by Arianne on March 27, 2009

I recently started a new eating plan (refuse to call it a *diet*), and have been counting points like a fiend.  I’ve been working out, and feeling good, and really truly proud of myself for doing this.  As mothers we can so often get into that rut of the daily grind and forget that doing things like taking care of our bodies, minds and toenails is not selfish or indulgent, but oh so necessary.

So when I got the chance to try out a new fitness set that fits right into my work out requirements of “simple” and “fun”, I was excited, because work outs bore me if they are just the same old, same old.

The Sane Fitness Quick Start by Plain White Press is one of those fabulous sets of cards that basically make getting in shape almost *gasp* fun!  The set  has easy to do (but crazy effective) exercises, so you can create a routine that helps you do the right stuff on the right day, in the right way.  I love the tips on doing things correctly, as well as the “challenge” tip to take things to the next notch.

You can download a few sample cards and take a look and see if it works for you.  Thanks to RoleMommy for the chance to try out this fab set!

Good for you!!! I joined a gym after JR was born and it made a world of difference in my mood-I get down when I dont get active, even though I hate to work out. Good job making yourself do it and finding a fun way to do it too!

Very cool. I'll have to keep this in mind after the baby is born. I HATE (scratch that…LOATHE) exercising. I need simple, quick and fun if I'm going to do anything at all.

I am so proud of you!! Awesome!

I have been actually looking for something like that! I have no clue what proper "form" looks like when doing free weights. I am going to check the cards out!

I'm so proud of you – you keep me inspired! And I refuse to call it diet, too, I hate that word.

Good for you! "Livit", not diet! That's what Bacardi Mama calls it and I love that word much better. This is very helpful to me cause I hate to exercise and this looks very doable for me. I will check it out. Keep up the great work of taking care of YOU! Love ya, Mimi
