Now and then I get invited to do fun things with other bloggers, and I feel so blessed by these special events. I see them as a way to connect with writers I love, to chat with marketing and media people I’d love to get to know better, and to partner with the companies who care, and are reaching out to us mothers. It’s win-win all around when it’s done right, and done with good intentions.
Yesterday was just such an event, and I’m thrilled that I get to share it with you and also giveaway (!!) something fun so you too can have the fun experience my family and I had!
Ridemakerz, coming from the same people behind Build-a-Bear, have really out done themselves when it comes to building a destination type store that kids and parents both love. We were invited to the store yesterday with several other bloggers and their families, and given the royal treatment. We got to go through the store, choosing each of our own “rides” (yes, each of us got our own, including me!), customizing, building, and having a blast while doing it.
At Ridemakerz you basically build a sweet customized car, from the body on up, a la Build-a-Bear style. You can add things like sounds, a monster upgrade (i.e. a TALL ride!) and or even make them radio control. You can also have birthday parties there, and lest you think this is just for the boy set–they have pink and turquoise and girly things too.
Not only is Ridemakerz having a great Black Friday deal (free radio control upgrade with any Ride purchase–$25 value), but they’ve also given me a $75 Ridemakerz gift card to giveaway to one of you!

Oh…my husband was drooling over this place when we walked past it at Woodfield a couple of months ago. Very cool concept. If I was going to build a car I would start off with the RZ RASCAL Punk Pink. Why? Because I like that the pink is metallic and shiny. I also enjoy that Punk and Pink are right next to each other. Probably a good description of myself!

I grabbed my six year old son and our favorite is the RZ Force Backdraft red. He loves it!!
My son and I both got such a kick out of this idea, we have never heard of Ridemakerz! I think if we had the opportunity, we would DEFINITELY choose either one of the Mini coopers (we lived in England for a short while and were so sad when we had to return!) or the flame decorated mustang! That one is pretty awesome too!

I hadn’t heard of this either! My son hates going to Build a Bear because he’s not into stuffed animals but my daughter asks to go there weekly. This is a great alternative for him! I’d try to coerce him into choosing the flame red Mustang

OMG, we went to Ridemakerz when we went to Myrtle Beach and had a blast! We already have 2 Vipers, an RZ Rascal, a Dodge Challenger, and an RZ Force tricked out as a dump truck for the baby. DS was just on their site the other day and saw the Bad Boy Vette and immediately added it to his Christmas list, so that would definitely be the car we’d get!
