Blogher ‘08 is right around the corner, and I couldn’t possibly be more excited! The friends, the parties, the information, the swag, and let’s not forget the best part of all: the bed all to myself. Ooh boy. I think that I might get lost in those pillows and not ever want to come out. Room service anyone?
Of course all of this sleeping alone and shmoozing and networking would not be possible if not for my lovely sponsors. Not only are they lovely, but they are also generous, and in addition to sending me to Blogher they want to give something to you all as well. You already know that HP is giving away $250 cash to one Blogher attendee (contest ends tonight!), well my other sponsor MoFuse.com has something EVERYONE can enter to win. Anyone ever heard of a little thing called a Wii? No? Ok, nevermind.

YES I’m giving away a Wii gaming system, right here friends. NO I cannot win this myself. Hmmpf.
MoFuse.com is sponsoring this fantastic prize, and I want you to know all about them. They are the newest way (and one of the most popular) to mobilize your blog. Why is mobilizing awesome and important? If you’ve ever looked at your blog on a mobile device you’ll know why. Most blogs are a big clunky mess when viewed on your palm or blackberry, and it’s difficult (or impossible) to read them efficiently. MoFuse turns your blog into a mobile, easy to read version (for free!), so that your readers will want to visit you even while on the go. You just put a widget on your blog and you’re good to go. Any time a mobile user stops by they will be able to read your content without any fuss, so the goal is for increased readership in addition to more accessible content. Plus, MoFuse has a program where you could put ads on your blog if you were into that kind of thing, so really mobilization is just the first step. Go to MoFuse to check them out, open your free account if you’re as thrilled about them as I am, and keep in mind their awesome sponsorship and generous giveaway for an idea of how much they appreciate all our bloggy business.
Ok, so how can you win the Wii? Well since I’m shopping for Blogher this week, I’m in need of some shoe ideas. Leave me a comment on this post with your favorite shoe store or brand (and be more creative than just “Zappos” or “Piperlime”, even though of course we all love them!) and you are entered to win. Just a comment and you are good to go. You can earn one extra entry if you Twitter or post on your blog about this contest, so let me know in the comments if you do so. Contest runs until the day before I leave for Blogher, Wednesday July 16th. Winner will be picked at random. Void where prohibited (see all the rules here).
Good luck, and thanks again to HP and MoFuse.com!

I have GIANT feet – so I’m normall a Nordstrom girl – they have a special ladies shoe event every year JUST FOR ME
I wear a lot of Nine West cause they tend to make my feet look teeny
[Reply]
I love Uggs — not the boots, I have sandals that are BlogHer-comfy. Got them on the cheap at TJ Maxx.
[Reply]
I would love to win this… now for the shoes. In all honesty – I love Payless. They also are online now. I realize it’s totally not very original but 1) I’m hard on shoes, and they need to be cheap ’cause even the expensive ones are worn hard. 2) I’m wide width, and Payless has an excellent variety. It’s quite hard for me to find true wide widths anywhere else for me.

Ok, check THIS: http://twitter.com/kolson29/statuses/852380535
and my favorite shoes EVER are Crocs, there are some pretty cute styles now and definitely BlogHer appropriate. You can get them right from the Crocs website or about a million other places too. Oh, and Birkenstocks are my other faves – I’m SO not a fashionista
My feet love me, though!
So, that’s 2 entries fo’ me, right?
[Reply]
I love Crocs, but hate paying that much for plastic shoes, so I shop on Ebay. I got a brand new pair of Croc sandals (with tags) in my gigantic size for only $10 plus shipping.
[Reply]
i never go shopping for shoes except at zappos.com, but i suppose my favorite mall place would be somewhere like journeys. however, my FAVE brand, that i can’t find anywhere but online, are campers!

OMG… you know how many Wii’s have slipped through my fingers!!! My favorite shoe sto’ (and one of the best places for deals) is 6pm (http://www.6pm.com/)
I know you’re probably looking for something dressy but DOOD! you need some nike dunks high top style.
[Reply]
You can’t go wrong with a pair of Chucks for comfort and old-school style. Converse are some of my favorites, and let’s face it, at BlogHer, comfy shoes are needed during the day. Save the fancy shoes for the parties.

I’m not really a shoe person. I generally wear flip-flops unless it’s snowing. But I got some really cute, not casual ones at Dillards that are great and more stylish than the ones from Old Navy;)

I am a brand-new Sketchers fan. I was completely desperate for shoes to take with me to Nashville and then I found Sketchers. $100 later I was out of the store with 4 pairs of shoes that: a) didn’t hurt my feet; b) had some style; and c) didn’t kill my wallet.
I’m a big, big fan.
[Reply]
I am such a shoe ho – i like via Spaga, sergio Rossi and rocket dogs.. Hey – I got dreams and I got what I can afford…
Now Wii must go and drool over shoes..

Until last year I said I’d never wear crocs. OK so I was wrong. You’re going to be on your feet a lot and crocs even come in itty bitty strappy sandal styles now like this pair I ordered (OK I ordered two) http://susanreynolds.soup.io/post/3652694/Image

I would love to win a Wii!
My favoirte shoes right now are my Chaco sandals. I have one pair I were all the time. They give my arch the support it needs and are so comfy.
[Reply]
For shoes, if I have time, I always get great bargains at Nordstrom Rack. If I have less time, I shop at Zappos. For shoes that are part of a larger awesome shopping expeience, I like Garnet Hill, great stuff.
Some of my favorite brands, Camper, Indigo by Clarks, Vans and Faryl Robin.
May I have the Wii now? Please.
[Reply]
When I’m shoe-shopping I scout as many places as I can. Faves (besides Zappos) are ShoeBuy.com, JCPenney.com, Payless.com and Chadwicks.com. As you can see, I don’t have the budget for spendy shoes. When I can I love Etienne Aigner & 9West..
I don’t have the budget for the Wii either but I really want to get one for my classroom! So of course my middle-schoolers should win!
Thanks, I’m off to Tweet this.

I LOVE my Merrell zip-up mocs. You can wear them without socks with pants or capris or shorts. (and your feet and shoes never get that stinky wet dog smell) They are so comfy, I wear them every day, and even have a black pair for church. I would absolutely LOVE a WII for my birthday. I’m ridiculously loyal when it comes to shoes. I find a pair I like and wear them until they are full of holes. I know. Really. For the last couple of years (I’m not kidding) I’ve been wearing an awesome pair of borne’s that I cannot link to because, dude, they stopped making them years ago. But they’re cool. Trust me.
However, they are starting to fall apart so I’ve been eyeballing the keens at REI. Currently having hot flashes over these bad boys: http://www.rei.com/product/732898 as well as enjoying the possibility of these: http://www.rei.com/product/766205 and these: http://www.rei.com/product/747153
We could be here all day. If I were you, I’d just shimmy on over to REI and demand their best keens.

I know you’ll get lots of brand suggestions, but here’s my recommendation for comfort: if you can bend the shoe in the middle (bend the toes and heel towards each other) then the shoes will probably be comfortable.

I’m so glad to hear that you are getting sponsored to Blogher! Woohoo!
To tell you the truth – the most I’m looking forward to is my hotel room and bed. I’ll party @ slide with you guys and every night after a nice dinner is just me, myself, and I. I’m planning a complete mommy download.

I have currently taken to practical shoes. The four brands I currently have in rotation are Sofft, Merrell,Keen and Born.
If you want fancy and comfy, go with Sofft (although they can be old lady looking)
If you want everyday awesomeness, Merrell.
Classier comfort, Born is where it’s at.
And for best shoe I’ve ever owned? (for summer parenting at least) it’s all about the Keen.
Wanna go super fancy? Cole Haan Air
$300 and worth every penny.
[Reply]
Wearing a size 14 is hard enough, but finding shoes that fit and don’t look horrible? Don’t get me started. I’ve recently discovered that Skechers seems to have revamped their men’s line – they look good, wear well, are priced right, and most imortantly, don’t make my feet look huge like most other brands do. Their customer service is also pretty good, too.
[Reply]
Forgot to mention that the ladies and kids lines are almost as good as what they offer the men with big feet.
And remeber: men with big feet….. Have ugly shoes. Until now.
[Reply]
I’m a skechers girl myself. And they’ve got so many cute “dress” shoes now too. My feet are a “weird fit” but I always know that I can’t go wrong with Skechers. Which is great since that means I can order them online too!

How funny, I was just talking about how I’d like a Wii, because I totally suck at PS3 because of the controllers and stuff.
As for shoes? I love ‘em. Typically, I go to Marshalls for shoes – the have fabulous name brands for amazingly cheap prices. I got a pair of amazing Reebok running shoes there, as well as some hot BGBC heels in a merlot color. I think I paid about $30 for each, when they were normally over $80.

I wear a 10-wide because I’m TALL so finding my size is difficult. I use eBay alerts to tell me whenever a pair my size becomes available. This also saves me about $50 a pair!
You can’t go wrong with Clark’s they’re so comfy…I promise you’ll feel like Cinderella at the end of the day even if you don’t fit her Crystal shoes!

I just took my first splurge on a pair of Kate Spade “Chris” in black patent leather and I LOVE them. I’ve never owned a pair of designer shoes and it really is amazing the difference in quality. They are so much more comfortable than they look. I just love her style. Thanks for the contest!
[Reply]
I am the last person you should take shoe advice from. I am horrible about spending money on myself and I don’t ever really spend much on shoes, although my daughter keeps bugging me to treat myself. I did get a pair of crocs for my birthday and all I can say is WOW. They really are comfortable. Wish me luck on the giveaway.
[Reply]
I love Stan’s Footwear in Milwaukee. They personally fit your shoes to your feet and have sizes that you can’t get other places. I haven’t gotten a single blister since they fit me for my new running shoes.
[Reply]
You have to try Born shoes, if you haven’t already. Lurve these.

They are discounted here:

I have to admit that Payless gets quite a bit of our money – mostly because it’s hard to justify spending tons of money on designer footwear.
For my part, I like the New Balance sneakers I have now – they’ve held up really well and I got them on sale somewhere when I bought them originally. I think I even managed to get them slightly before they became more of “the shoe” to buy.
[Reply]
I love my PUMAs. They are fun and funky.
[Reply]
Playlee Shoe Source here I come!!!
[Reply]
well it really depends on if going in heels or tennys. my favorite stores are journeys, they offer mainly tennys like sketchers vans. the shoe dept, they have everything and are affordable, and payless, very affordable.

I am probably the wrong person to ask for shoe advice. I own two pairs…one pair of running shoes for on the treadmill and a pair of Land’s End all-weather mocs that I have been wearing for over four years now. I know it isn’t all that exciting, but Land’s End is usually the place I look for shoes. I don’t have any high-fashion needs in my lifestyle.
[Reply]
I just bought a new pair of sandals this past weekend. They are Bare Traps. They are so comfy and so cute!
http://www.shoestation.com/shoestation/dept.asp?s_id=0&dept_id=3058&page=1
I also like to go to the kids section lol. They are cheaper and fit great. I wear a 7 womens and I think a 6 childs.
[Reply]
I love my Converse flip flops!
[Reply]
I heart shoes. Nothing makes an outfit like a fab pair of shoes! I’m a huge fan of flats & wedges. A great website with lots of choices is http://www.endless.com!
[Reply]
I love Ryka for walkign shoes, they are great. For everyday shoes I usually just go to DSW, they ahve everything.
[Reply]
I really like my BORN shoes. They are super comfortable and hand-made. I buy them for my daughter as well.
[Reply]
i love aerosoles – cute AND comfy! Also I have a pair of BP ballet flats from Nordstrom that I am loving this summer (again, cute and comfy)…
[Reply]
I recently discovered Bass shoes…They have the most comfy sandals and flip flops ever
[Reply]
Target….love the mossimo heels they have out now! Check out Delpha and Danae. Have both and love them! Comfortable too…
[Reply]
I’d LOVE to win. Okay, it’s been mentioned twice but my favorite shoe store is Aldo. Italian leather shoes for non-designer prices. Of course, if your feeling really spend-y, I love Kate Spade. I even got a fabulous pair on the sale racks at Nordstrom’s for $50 dollars. I had to buy an outfit to go with them, but it was TOTALLY worth it.
Oh and I tweeted this contest too. (ncbartels).
[Reply]
I think the last place I bought shoes was probably Payless for myself and Kohl’s for my daughter. I don’t really have a favorite, just where I find cute shoes at a good price!
[Reply]
I love my rocketdogs! They are super comfy. I actually got mine at Ross on sale, but you can get them at most department stores.
[Reply]
As bad as they look, I am addicted to Birkenstocks. They are so comfortable on my feet.
[Reply]
Well I tend to choose comfort as of lately but I’d love to be sporting a pair of stilletos, especially with all the summer dresses I have but due to being 7 months preggo I’d seriously be head over heels.
I’d go with anything by UGG, I find they are very comfy, I love my mules and my sandals by them!
[Reply]
I love Nordstrom Rack! I buy my Danskos there as well as shoes for the kids.
[Reply]
OH please let me win a wii!!!! I love greats shoes, but can’t afford them. Normally I’ll try Nordstrom Rack to find something on sale or Famous Footwear.
[Reply]
I cannot get enough of the Cole Haan shoes with the Nike Air soles inside them. Definitely on the pricier side of my shoe collection, but worth every penny, especially when you know you’ll be on your feet a lot.
[Reply]
I love shopping at T.J. Maxx or Marshalls for shoes. My favorite comfy shoes are by Born. They make great sandals, as well as other types of shoes, too! Good luck finding a good pair! I have so much bad luck with shoes…I’ll think they’re comfortable till I wear them out for an hour…then it’s too late to return them.
[Reply]
I adore converse. The kind that you don’t even have to lace up, but just slip on. mrr.
[Reply]
Oh boy, this is a dangerous question to ask me since i love shoes! First, I do love shopping on Zappos and Piperlime, but locally, I prefer Nordstroms, Banana Republic and DSW. DSW is probably my favorite though because you can find really cute shoes for so much cheaper. Even my husband likes to go since we always find him really nice shoes there!
[Reply]
Børn. I bought a pair the weekend before I went to NYC and walked all over the place in them and had no problems!
I’ll tweet this!
[Reply]
I am a big fan of Nine West and they are in most malls!
[Reply]
I have become a big shoe horse since getting a non-lab job and have had great luck at Macy’s sale rack. Doesn’t hurt that Macy’s is 200 yards from my house!
[Reply]
I absolutely love Nine West and Sketchers. Generally comfy and you can find them at discount places like Marshall’s, TJ Maxx or DSW. Good luck finding some great shoes!
[Reply]
For my daughter I love the toddler shoes at Little Ruler http://www.littleruler.com/footwear.html
especially the slip-on Vans.
[Reply]
Nine West all the way. When I try to go all practical and work like (conferences that I have to attend that requires wearing them for more then 9 hours a day…) I try to stay away from this place. Never happens. So I end up sitting most of the time because my shoes are hawt – but my feet are killing me! That is the perfect shoe!
[Reply]
Aldo. I LOVE Aldo.
I also am blogging this.
[Reply]
I had the most comfortable pair of Kenneth Cole loafers that I literally wore a hole in. That was one of the saddest days ever. Ross & Marshalls are good places to find shoes at a good price!
[Reply]
Right now, my Nike flip flops are the bomb!
[Reply]
Heels.com — free overnite shipping, returns. Hot styles so many to choose from – perfect!
[Reply]
Okay, I know I may sound cheap, but I love Target shoes! I wear a size 5-1/2, and they are one of the only affordable places that actually sells shoes in my size! From flip flops to heels, I can always find something cute!
[Reply]
I know that they’re not the cutest things around but for the level of comfort that they accord you could to worse than the Clark’s brand of walking shoes.
[Reply]
I’m not a shopper, but I love going to DSW and finding some super cute shoes that are comfortable too.
I’ve just twittered about it too!
[Reply]
I’m a Target fan too, but only for flip-flops. I grew up in Keds, so when I can find them cheap, I snatch them up. Kohl’s has been good to me.
[Reply]
I have a pair of Borne sandals that I just love. I bought them when I was pregnant last summer and they are the ONLY shoe I wear now during the summertime.
[Reply]
You didn’t mention what type of shoes you are looking for, but since it’s summer, i’m going to go with sandals in which case I LOVE anything by Clarks, they are so comfortable! Sometimes you can go to their outlet stores and get buy one, get one 1/2 off. If you are looking for sneakers, I highly suggest Merrells. Good luck with your new shoes!
[Reply]
My stylish faves? Cole Hann
Fun comfort? Privo
Ugly but feels so good and I can walk a thousand miles? Birkenstocks
Don’t judge me.

I live in South Carolina so summers are unbearable without lots of flip flops and sandles!!! I am a faithful Reef flip flop girl but I have recently tried Olukai and they are super comfortable and a ‘nice looking’ flip flop. For an added bonus OluKai is committed to creating quality products while leaving the smallest footprint possible on the planet.
[Reply]
I am a cheapie, Payless shoes has all the best sandals right now and on sale, and often this time of year, its buy one, get the 2nd half off! I stock up for summers to come!
[Reply]
I absolutely love my Crocs that I bought at Journeys. I needed a shoe to be multi-functional for me. I can go to the grocery store in them, work in the garden, stroll down Bourbon street while on vacation with them, and even walk the dog. They are the first shoe I put on my feet in the morning.
I especially like that they don’t make my feet sweat. That’s a constant issue for me.
[Reply]
I enjoy getting my shoes from Chaco. Very comfortable and practicle.
[Reply]
I’m a DSW and Famous Footwear girl – the shoes i love but for much more affordable prices. Not to mention great deals on shipping! I love anything by Steve Madden – fashionable and comfortable.
[Reply]
I’d LOVE to win…can I still win if I confess I only buy at Payless??
I twittered about it! CPAMOM is my twitter ID.
[Reply]
Easy Spirit shoes! I have wide and sensitive feet. This store has been a heaven sent. They carry very comfy and cushioned shoes that are great for long periods or standing or walking. Not to mention that they come in nice styles.
[Reply]
I am a total flat-wearing gal. I can’t stand heels. And I’m cheap, so I usually shop at Payless, I’m afraid. But my most comfortable shoes? My Crocs, my Tevas, and my Merrills. Hmm… I’m appearing very crunchy here. I also like my New Balance sneakers. I’m hopeless!
[Reply]
I love Crocs, and they aren’t just clunky and frumpy anymore! Check out crocs.com to see a bunch of cute designs–some even have heels! It’s a good option for when you have to look nice, but also need comfort. There’s nothing worse than going on a fun trip and not being able to concentrate because your feet are killing you! the_other_alice_(at)yahoo.com
[Reply]
I have got some great deals from Spiegel really cute shoes. Also famous footwear online.
[Reply]
The shoes with the red soles – Christian Louboutin! All the “cool” girls on the block wear them – like Oprah. Of course, she can afford them….I think I’ll just paint the bottom of my Cole Hanns ….
[Reply]
Definitely Crocs! Love ‘em, love ‘em, love ‘em! They were cooler and more comfortable than my tennis shoes when we went to a big music festival where all you do is walk. The other great thing is that your feet don’t stink when you wear them, and if they get dirty, just throw them in the sink and wash ‘em up. I’m going to post about your generous give-away right now.
[Reply]
For Comfort? Fit Flops
For Style? Michael Kors
Bang for Your Buck? Shoe Pavillion

Mohop shoes would never get old because you can always customize them. I really want to get some for myself.
[Reply]
I love Lands End for casual shoes. They’re stylish, comfy, good quality and affordable. For summer I like their sport sandals and their wedge beach slides. I have both. I Tweeted this too at http://twitter.com/mommiedaze.
[Reply]
I have a few brands that I love. My favorite running shoes are new balance and I aslo like shopping at payless shoes and my favoritebrand baby/toddler shoes are robeez. Thanks for the giveaway I would love to win the Wii for my boys .
[Reply]
Don’t wear shoes unless I have to – and when I do it’s tennies or Tevas. I get all my Tevas from REI.com!
[Reply]
For summer, I currently have 2 pairs of shoes – my Keens (waterproof AND stylin’ AND comfy, to boot!)
And my “Naot” version of birkenstocks.
As far as twitter, I’m saderman, and will happily post away!
[Reply]
I dig on famousfootwear.com. Free shipping, whole family, great sales on brand name shoes, and you can shop by style, price, size, color, brand and heel-height. (I love not having to wade through pages and pages just to find the three or four pairs that I’m even interested in, ya know?)
If you’re looking for a cute, strappy casual-dress sandal, I suggest the Nickels Women’s Trainer; (think low-wedge.) It’s on sale for $29.99, and comes in Tangerine, Black, Bone and Spring Green.
Oh, and if I win, my whole family will love you “for-ev-ver”! (Squints from The Sandlot – you know that one, right?)
[Reply]
Not to be too obvious, but I like crocs. Ugly fun.
[Reply]
Truthfully my favorite thing to wear on my feet is – NOTHING! I grew up in the country and I hated wearing shoes. Even in the winter I would walk to the mailbox and back in bare feet (yeah, I’m nuts!). If I must wear something then just a nice worn pair of socks is fine with me.
I guess I’m missing the “shoe gene” that some women have. I’m not big on shoes. I own a pair of worn sneakers and I’m happy as a clam. I have a pair of pumps that I wear if I have to go to a funeral or fancy occasion.
My favorite place to shop for shoes for my family is Payless. I have two growing kids and no sooner do you buy a pair of shoes they outgrow it a week later (ok, not THAT fast but you get the idea). Once they stop growing then we’ll invest in more “high end” quality shoes.
Thanks for the awesome prize give away!
[Reply]
I can’t get out of DSW without a new pair of shoes. I’m still mourning the demise of my favorite mary janes with a heel – I can’t find anything exactly like them!
[Reply]
I LOVE my tevas and wear them almost every day.
[Reply]
My new rave is FitFlops! You can get them off of Bath and Body Works or at Lady Footlocker. They are supposed to tone your legs as you wear them and relieve back pain. Just great comfort. I do have some pain and these shoes have been the best thing!! And my calves and legs hurt the first week as if I were doing lunges!
[Reply]
I LOVE Croc Flip Flops. They are so comfortable and light. They don’t hurt in between your toes and they come in awesome colors!
I’ve already twittered, so count me for 2!
[Reply]
Well, I’m cheap, LOL, so I tend to shop at Payless.com and then pick them up (free shipping!) at the store. Thanks for entering me.

birkenstocks & danskos are my favorite brands
[Reply]
Well I have some ideas for you. A few places I love to shop for cute, hip, shoes are http://www.gojane.com and http://www.wetseal.com Then of course I love Steve Madden shoes but just can’t afford them these days. I usually buy my shoes from http://www.gojane.com or target because I can get tons of cute shoes for cheap and still be in style. Seriously, no matter what shoe you are looking for you can probably find it at gojane for 20.00 or less.

Honestly, love shopping for shoes at Ross. You can find designer shoes really cheap. And the hunt for them is half the fun. If I don’t have time to hunt, then I would hit Nordstrom because they have some fabulous comfortable yet trendy shoes.
[Reply]
I have to admit that I shop for my shoes at Kohls. A little embarrassing, but they are really really cheap and have some very cute shoes!

I love Merrell, they are so comfortable & I thought I’d never say it, but for less formal, walk a lot shoes – Crocs!

I love Capri Crocs….they are the Best flip flops. They are so comfortable and durable. You can just wash them off when you get home from the beach. I originally bought them for our Disney trip, but I love them. I even talked my friend into buying a pair for her vacation

I’m so jealous, watching all of you ladies Tweeting about making plans for BlogHer…shopping, booking hotel rooms, arranging Tweet-ups. I wanna gooooooo!!
Anyway, I have two different places that I love to shop from. They’re both shopping directories as opposed to just a store.
One of them is SheFinds.com. They find some of the BEST deals.
The other one is an invitation-only mailing list for various boutiques. Its at RueLaLa.com and if you want to check it out, let me know and I can send you an invite.
Oh, and I will definitely Tweet this.

My favorite shoes to feel pretty in are CARLOS by Carlos Santana. The styles are contemporary and sexy. My favorite shoes for work are Vaneli. They are beautifully made and the styles are so classic that they never look dated. For comfort, no one can touch Born. They are a dream to walk in.

My daughter loves Umi…whenever I send her to put on her shoes, those are the ones she picks out. They cost more, but we’ve definitely got it out of them! As for me, I like my Boden sandals right now, but I haven’t been able to beat my Dansko shoes for comfort on long days on my feet.
Thanks for such a FUN giveaway!!!

I personally wear crocs about 80% of the time. So comfy and cute. For when I need a bit more style, the first place I look is Kohl’s. Big shoe dept., sales all the time and a good selection. Plus they always send me coupons in the mail and I am a coupon whore!

Well, I hate to reiterate some of the previous posters comments but I have always worn Nine West because their styles have always been up to date yet not too trendy and they are so comfortable. I am also a former PE teacher and swear by Adidas and Puma’s.
[Reply]
Are you looking for comfort? Or style?
The comf-iest shoes in the whole wide world are Dankos–they are like walking on fluffy kittens. But not crazy stylish.
For style, I like Nine West–because they carry sizes that go high enough to fit my ginormous feet.
[Reply]
Go for Yellowbox shoes. Zappos has them for sure. They are hot, stylish, comfortable, and reasonably priced to boot (and I don’t mean that in a Lucky magazine definition of reasonably priced.). Enjoy!
I twittered this too. You can follow me and see at ilinap.

I love my skechers! They have cute brown and black flats with a rubber sole that are really good for convention walking. No sore feet! Plus, you can find them practically anywhere.

Well, I love Zappos, but they certainly aren’t the cheapest. I always compare shoes.com as well, which is usually cheaper, if you can stand to wait for a week or more instead of overnight.
Also, they are on ebates, so I get a kickback.

I saw the cutest pair of shoes at BCBG a few months back and have been obsessed with their shoes ever since. Not cheap (or comfortable!) but oh-so-fashionable

Since I have larger feet
I am a fan of crocs. I also LUV Marshall’s as they have a lot of the designer shoes at a discount price AND because I am not the typical size 6, there are more to choose from.
[Reply]
You know, I just go to Payless or Kmart also has been known to have some good deals of good looking shoes. But sometimes I head on over to Macy’s for a fancier look. For my daughter I love
O’ My Sole. I don’t know if that’s just a local shoe store or there are more of them out there. But they have the cutest clogs for 6-year-old girls.
[Reply]
My favorite shoes are skechers, so comfortable! I love finding shoes on ebay, such a big selection & usually great prices.
[Reply]
I love keds but I’m not sure that it would be great for a convention. For work or dress up, I like 9 West.

There just aren’t enough words to describe how much I love my Keens and my Danskos. Both companies make good looking shoes you can walk in all day and still manage to be comfortable in. They’re my go-to shoes for travel.
Have fun at blogher!

[Reply]
i’m a chiropractor, so comfort is uber important to me (ergo, I do NOT wear heels…nor do I advocate ANYONE wearing heels since they do horrible things to your body). ok, with that in mind, i still like stylish and comfortable shoes. me? i love aerosoles as a brand…love their professional shoes. for fun, sketchers elasticized sneakers. cute with jeans, khakis, and a sporty skirt. groovy.

Thanks for the giveaway

I am NOT a shoe girl so I don’t have anything too creative to tell you as far as shoe sites go. BUT I will say that Lands’ End and LL Bean stand by their products so well that you can ALWAYS send them back and get an exchange or refund. And they’ve got some really comfy shoes. That is pretty handy…

Well, I don’t shop for shoes online because I’m too picky on how they look on my feet – so my best advice is to shop the mall and visit all the stores within until you find the ones you seek! Sorry I can’t offer a favorite store – it depends on the type of shoe!
[Reply]
I like Neiman Marcus for shoes. They have many different designers to choose from; Prada, Gucci and so on but my favorites are Frye. Of course, this is a suggestion for YOU, I get my shoes at a mid range dept store…

I’m kind of poor, so my favorite places to shop for shoes are Marshall’s, T.J. Maxx, and DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse). My secret to saving money on walking/exercise shoes is to shop in the boys section. My feet are small, and I can never find black walking shoes like I want.
[Reply]
I love my converse. In high school, many years ago, we would grab the paint and make our Converse into works of art. Back then, you could only find colored Converse at the Army Navy store. I dress a bit more conservativley these days, and I tend to buy the less flashy looks.
[Reply]
I don’t really have a favorite – basically wherever I can find shoes that fit my wide feet (even wider after 3 kids now). Usually, to be honest, it ends up being KMart, but it’s been a couple of years now since I’ve bought shoes, so I’m not really sure where I’d go.
[Reply]
I love my Vans! I wore them in high school and have totally rediscovered them. I recently bought a pair of Cons and I got complemented by a couple of high school guys from my church (I’m 38!) But my vans are my most comfortable! Great giveaway! Thanks for offering it!

They definitely are not fancy shoes, but my FAVORITE shoe brand is Rainbow. I looove their flip flops – they are practically all I wear all summer. I really hope I win! I asked for a Wii for my birthday and didn’t get one. Thanks so much!

What a great giveaway! I absolutely love DSW! They have stlyish shoes at great prices.

I’m a big fan of Foot Locker. Though, if you have a decent idea of the shoe you want, ebay can be nice too, especially for older shoe models that are hard to find retail.

My casual flip flops that I live in are my Rainbows.
For dressier work shoes, I really like Kim Rogers or Liz Claiborne Flex.
I tend to be really hard on shoes, so I don’t like spending a lot of money for them. However, I’ve learned that a great pair of shoes will last for a long time
[Reply]
Oh, I forgot….also try Born. They are the most comfortable shoe you will ever try. Not extremely dressy, but you almost don’t care!

[Reply]
I love Bandolino shoes. 9.5 fits me everytime, and I’m really picky about shoes.
[Reply]
I have been a huge fan of Converse for over 18 years now. I find that the igh tops and the low tops are both great for casual wear. Both of my children’s first shoes were baby converse.
Also I love new balance running shoes and Birkenstock for sandals.
[Reply]
OK, first of all, I sooo want to win this. Not that I’m alone.
My shoe recommendation probably isn’t wildly helpful. I love Tops for Shoes, a locally owned shop with a ton of awesome shoes in downtown Asheville, NC. But maybe you can look for an independent shoe store where you live? I love to support local businesses.
[Reply]
I buy all my sexy shoes from Victoria Secret. They’re actually pretty comfortable. But my favorite brand is Nine West.
[Reply]
I’ve just discovered 6pm.com–the “outlet” store for Zappos. Prices average 45-55% off! My favorite brands are Born and Dansko.
[Reply]
I just found your blog today following your guest post at Rocks in my Dryer.. i found it amazing!
As for the shoes.. I am NOT trendy at all. I am ALL for comfort… so i would have to suggest any place where they sell crocs is the right place for me. they have so many different styles now, not as ugly as the first ones. I am stuck with the original ones though… in 3 different colors.
[Reply]
my favorite local shoe place here in DC is a little place on U Street called Shoefly. My favorite finds this summer? A pair of yellow peep toe sandals by Seychelles. I get tons of compliments anytime I wear them, and they are uber-comfortable.
[Reply]
First off: I think shoes should make a statement and I like fun, BRIGHT shoes to go with my outfits. Right now I’m wearing shiny grass-green flats from Payless. They feel like slippers, they’re nice enough to wear to work, and they were CHEAP. When I want a funky shoe for one season I hit up Payless.
I LOVE my Pumas for everyday wear. I wear Pumas to work and with jeans and everything. I had a favorite pair that bit the dust and they’re not available anymore. It seriously makes me want to cry when I think about it. I’m keeping them in my closet and might make a shrine to them one day.
During the summer I LIVE in Old Navy flip flops. At first I was mad they redesigned them this year, but now I wonder how I ever wore the OLD design. They’re so comfy and how can you beat them at $2.50!?
And finally, in the winter months, I tend to find my winter boots at Burlington Coat Factory. And by winter boots I mean knee-high Nine West lovelies or something of that nature.
Next up I really want to buy a pair of Hunter wellies. I’m waiting for the fall.
And lookie here: http://twitter.com/FuschiaFoot/statuses/853774288

I usually go to Marshall’s for shoes because I have big feet and they have the best selection of big shoes. Most other stores only have ugly shoes in big sizes.
[Reply]
I love DSW…but let me tell ya…Payless can stop the itch too…I actually own a pair of Manolos (my wealthy sis-in-law was going to discard them…she’s nuts and has too much $$$)…it’s all about how skinny my foot looks and the fit. I will always be a shoe ho…
[Reply]
Endless is a great shoe site – they have more shoes than you could ever buy, you can search them by color or style, and they always have deals on shipping.
[Reply]
Of course I’m twittering it – it’s what I do! http://twitter.com/GeekMommy/statuses/853877884
That said, yeah, I ♥ @zappos like the next girl…
But my super sekrit shoe source is one that I almost never talk about – but every time I get a pair of shoes there, people constantly comment on how cute they are…
Ready for the non-shoe store recommendation?
Dress Barn.
Seriously. No really. Dress Barn always has the cutest shoes – some are imported Italian. But people don’t think to go there b/c they aren’t a ’shoe store’. Still, it’s one of those places I’ll buy 2 pairs of a shoe I love b/c I know I’ll want a second pair when the first wears out!
[Reply]
I don’t really buy shoes too often, but I think Payless shoes are great. You can buy a bunch because they are cheap, plus they are really cute! Thanks for the giveaway!
[Reply]
The Harley Davidson line of shoes are super sexy and some even in a subtle way. I just purchased a pair from Zappos for an upcoming trip. They are clogs with studs. Oooh ahhh studs. The reviews say they are comfortable but I’ll be the judge of that. They should arrive tomorrow.

Zappos – I know it SOUNDS like a cop out, but I’m a woman with 6 EE shoes. (Well, someone tried to tell me they were really 5 1/2 EEEE once, but I covered my ears and said “LaLaLaLa…”) I have tried Maryland Square before, but Zappos gives me better selection and returns.
I also want to give a shout out to New Balance, the first to understand it’s impossible to play sports without shoes fitting in width.
[Reply]
I have a really hard time finding shoes because I have a wide foot. I absolutely love The Walking Company http://www.thewalkingcompany.com/.
I was in a real bind when I was working a trade show event in Las Vegas. I was working 12-15 hour days standing up and my shoes were giving me major blisters all over my feet to the point where I could hardly walking anymore. I was working at the Venitian, so I ran upstairs and found The Walking Company. I had never been there before, but the sales people were really friendly and they found a clog by Dansko that fit my foot and was soooo comfortable. They also have really comfy socks as well.
Check me out on Twitter. I’ll be posting a link to this as well:

Birkenstocks, the selection is always great and good for the feet.

I’ll admit my shoes usually come from DSW or Nordstrom’s clearance rack, but I’ve been dreaming of picking up some by Taryn Rose (orthotically corect but very cute!)
[Reply]
Camper and John Fluevog makes the coolest, best shoes ever.
[Reply]
My favorite place to buy shoes is Marshalls! I know!? The newer stores have a huge DSWesqe shoe area the prices are half price of retail then, like all items there, go down in price about 20% every two weeks. Bad part is, when their gone, their gone! Once bought a $130 pair of Kenneth Cole Oxford dress shoes for $20 on clearance.
[Reply]
For fun shoes I love Nine West and for comfort I prefer Danskos.

Oh how I would LURV to win a Wii.
As far as shoes, my favorites (I have them on today) are black sandals from TJ Maxx. I also love Payless and Target and Off Broadway Shoes. Hey, what can I say. I’m on a budget.
These are fun…I actually have one pair of really cute and comfy black sandals (it’s at rend with me) from Sears, although I rarely shop there:
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_05406024000P?vName=Shoes&cName=Womens&sName=Sandals

You’re going to need super comfy shoes and for me the most super comfy shoes that I can think of are Onyx. You can get them at department stores such as Dillards and Macys. They are pricey but they are worth it. I am a General Manager of a hotel and I am on my feet all the time. Trust me! BTW, I’ve added a link to the contest. I need a Wii so I can get skinny.

[Reply]
The most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned are Merrells and you can them in some nice looking sandals, slides, walking shoes – they are all comfy! DSW will have them on sale, but if you want the latest style, you’ll have to pay top $ at your better stores like Nordstroms. But they’re worth it. Be good to your feet!
[Reply]
I am so NOT a shoe person! I’m at home all day and go barefoot ALL the time. I’ll only put on shoes if I have to go outside, and then its just flip flops. But if I’m forced to buy a pair of shoes I can make myself go to Target or Payless (I know, NOT stylish). I just don’t like spending money on shoes when I can spend it on something FUN! Thanks for the chance to win!
[Reply]
SHOES!
If I could get tons of cute high heels with the wrap around the ankle, I would have one in every color! I love that look and I wish I had more places to wear them. I don’t like shoes that fall apart a month after you buy them no matter how cheap they are. I usually go to Payless for shoes or Shoe Pavilion. My secret desire is to buy a sleek sexy pair of shoes for myself but I never do. Maybe someday.
[Reply]
You had to make it about shoes? Really? But I’m awful at shoes. I’ll have to go and read your 300 comments learn how to be fashionable.
But if you really want to know my opinion? I swear by Merrills. I know it’s not what you’re looking for, but I think they’re cute and so very comfy. If you’re gonna be walking a lot, they’re the ones…
I’m crossing my fingers for my husband on this one:)

For hikes around SF at BlogHer Keen sandles are so comfy (I have some slip-ons too for cold weather). That is what I used to wear for trips into the city.

I too am a flip flop kinda girl, but when I wanna get dressy and cutesy, I love me some nine west super high heels.
I also drool over Badgley Mischka’s though, I REALLY wanted to get a pair for my wedding (yet, too expensive).
But the shoes over at Alternative Outfitters dot com, are awesome! I even found a super fancy pair I bet you’d look fab in! The Princess Diana Can Turqouise VEGAN pump, by Sugar Shoes. You should check them out! http://www.alternativeoutfitters.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=1645

I guess I’m kind of a cheep skate when it comes to shoes… I tend to buy my shoes at Target or Kohls. Plus I’m more of a flip flop guys, I’ll spend $20 on shoes, but $50 on flip flops… I know, go figure. So if we’re talking flip flops… I’ve enjoyed flip flops from PacSun.

I’m really a bare foot gal anyway.

My favorite shoes are all about comfort.
KSwiss or Nike for tennis shoes
Eastlands for casual shoes
sandals I have issues with. I never can seem to find the right ones.
I try to avoid heels at all costs.
I’ve blogged about this great contest here:

My favorites right now are Keens and Crocs. Thanks for the giveaway.

Ok, I have to admit I love the shoes I’ve gotten from The Walking Company because they make my post-pregnancy permanently-enlarged feet SO much happier…
I haven’t tried anything fancy from there, though, so I have no idea if their big ole’ fancy-heeled shoes are as comfortable

I’m sorry I don’t have anything more creative but I do all my shoe shopping (well most of it anyway) at Payless. I get the most compliments on their shoes than anyone else’s. And no one knows I hardly paid a dime for them.
I think they’re having their BOGO sale right now (buy one pair, get the next half off), so it could be the perfect time to stock up for Blogher (and I’m SO jealous you’re going to Blogher!)
Thanks for the giveaway. I was just telling my husband tonight how bad I want a Wii just so I can play Wii Fit. *dream*

I love DSW shoes. By far, my favorite shoe store… I love the smell of the shoes when I first walk in! And, remember those commercials that spoofed National Geographic? classic.

I usually find my best deals on inexpensive but still trendy shoes at Target. I also like a store called Shoe Carnival. They have tons and tons of brands all out on display by the boxes for easy try-on and they’re generally pretty well priced. I have found some great sandals there and some Skechers sneakers that I love, love, love. Oh yeah, another great source for sneakers at good prices is TJ Maxx. My go-to pair of sneakers is from there.

Lands End! They have wonderful, comfortable, durable shoes, especially for casual winter wear. Don’t worry about ordering online — their customer service is terrific.

I have a really wide foot, so I hate trying to find shoes for myself! My favorite, most recent super shoe deal was for my son. He needed new rain boots (required for living in WA) and I really didn’t feel like dragging him to the stores, so I looked online. I found an awesome deal at Amazon.com. Cowboy rain boots for $5 plus shipping and tax. I think I paid $12.95 total, which was cheaper than his last pair that we bought at Payless Shoes!

I love Payless. Nice shoes, nice prices. My girls like the ballet flats.

I always have a hard time finding shoes that feel good and are comfortable. In the spring, my husband splurged by buying me a pair of $100 Brooks tennis shoes, because I was doing a lot of walking, and my knees and feet always hurt. I cringe at spending that much money on a pair of shoes, but these were the motion-control (stabilizing) tennis shoes, and they are FABULOUS!! I also like Clark’s…very comfy!
[Reply]
I’m not a shoe-a-holic like a lot of people are. So, I’m not a good source. But, some of my favorites are Kenneth Cole, Clarks & Aerosoles. Happy shoe hunting! I hope I win! Thanks for the chance!

I have always loved Sketchers and what type of shoes they have for every type of person…this would be a great brand to choose (just an idea)

I like “keen” brand shoes because they are cute, plus insanely comfortable.

I really love Two Lips shoes. They are so cute and sexy!

In terms of total cuteness M=my fav shoes are from Q Sandals. I have two pairs… these ones and a red pair with orange straps. I got them from ma petite shoe in Baltimore, although it doesn’t appear that they have any in stock right now.
In terms of total comfort fashion-ability I love Steve Madden’s shoes.

I’m usually a flip flop girl, but when I need real shoes I like classic Keds, the white leather ones !

Nordstrom Rack. I sure hope you have a Nordstrom Rack in your area.

Don’t know if anyone’s mentioned these, yet, but you can also give a pair to a child in need at the same time.

My favorite shoe store is PayLess the prices are reasonable they also have a good variety for my grandchildren, I would love to win the wii so they would stay inside a little more and not wear out their shoes so quickly.
[Reply]
I’m really into comfort, so I would have to say either Nike or Addidas.
I do also shop at Payless, as the prices are fantastic, and there’s lots of comfortable shoes to choose from.

I guess it’s okay for a man to comment…I’ll have to go with Skecher’s. They’re definitely skewing “older” these days, and I’ve been very happy with the pair I bought a while back.

I’m at that stage in life where comfortable shoes are a must. I try not to sacrifice too much style in the process. I find LifeStrides to be a good overall brand that is both economical and comfortable (and usually stylish).

I have ordered a few times from shoebuy.com. I wear crocs, which I have in the past ordered from amazon.com. I like to shop at European type stores (usually in the malls and sometimes from shoebuy) for danskos, chacos, keens, etc!
blogged your link.

I have very small fat feet so its hard to buy shoes, and because I’m on a very tight budget I have to shop thrifty.
My favorite places to find my size are payless, target and valley lane brand shoes found online at different sponsers.
Thank you for a chance to win my children a much wanted prize.

Its pretty hot here in the south! We wear flip flops with EVERYTHING. Don’t know what you are looking for, but Yellow Box is a brand that is amazingly durable & has a style for every occation!
[Reply]
My favorite store is Payless because they carry wide sizes which I need, but I also like Famous Footware because they carry wide sizes as well. Academy carries the best selection of athletic shoes, so it depends on what kinds of shoes you are wanting.
